2010 Australian Open: Justine Henin Goes To The Finals

Justine Henin in the Finals at the 2010 Australian Open.As for Henin, the question marks surrounding her coming into the tournament were surrounding her game and her fitness, stemming from having been off the court and out of competition for the past 20 months. Abruptly retiring in May of 2008 while ranked #1 in the world, Henin decided that she had grown tired of the relentless grind of professional tennis and walked away from the sport. Seemingly happy in retirement, she opened up the 6th Sense Tennis Academy along with her coach Carlos Rodriguez and legendary trainer Pat Etcheberry, got heavily involved with charity work, and moved on with her life. Seeing her compatriot Kim Clijsters un-retire this past summer however and go on to win the US Open stoked the competitive fire within her, and so she decided to re-join the fight and return to the women's tour earlier this month.
