Speed drives athletes to win. Speed training allows the athlete to reach high levels of velocity in their field of sport, most commonly in running exercises. Through Pat Etcheberry and his staff's expert coaching, athletes are able to increase their speed by applying large amounts of force in a small amount of time, or power. There are two variations, assisted and resisted speed training. Assisted helps to improve the frequency of stride and the latter improves strength and the length of the stride. It is also important for athletes to build a good level of fitness ability, including strength and endurance through conditioning. Pat Etcheberry has a large number of drills and exercises designed to increase and enhance athletes' abilities to move faster and more effectively.
