Agility involves the capacity to change direction without losing speed, control and balance of the body. During agility training, Pat Etcheberry will work with the athlete so that he or she will be able to respond to a directional order; the purpose of this is to eliminate the athlete always anticipating the future movement. Agility training requires skill in knowing the proper footwork to use. This type of agility training is perfect for tennis or any sport where the athlete is required to make constant directional changes. Having good agility allows the athlete to respond to a stimulus with a quick change in movement while maintaining good balance and form.
